How Do I...
Make An Appointment?
When you first become a patient you will be registered with the ‘Practice’ and not with an individual doctor. However, you are welcome to consult any of the doctors, but wherever practical you should remain with the same doctor throughout a course of treatment. Please note that Drs Howard, Wijeyesekera, Jordan, Kaye, Ashraf, Reeves and Aczel do not work full-time, a factor which influences their availability.
Consultations
Consultations are available to patients who have attained the age of 16 years or, in the case of children, at the request of the parent or guardian without restriction. A consultation shall take place in the patient’s home if the doctor feels this is appropriate
Three Types Of Surgery Are Available
- Surgery By Appointment
Appointments may be made by either calling at the surgery or by telephoning between 8.30am and 6.30pm
Monday to Friday on 0844 499 0845 or 0161 748 5559.
Please try to avoid Monday morning (unless the appointment is urgent) as this is our busiest time.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please cancel in good time to allow other patients to be seen.
- Urgent Appointments
A limited number of urgent appointments are available each day. Please ring between 8.30 and 9.30am on the
day, Monday to Friday.
- Extended Hours
The surgery offers extended hours appointments from 5.00 to 7.00pm on a Monday and Wednesday evening.
Sick Children
Children will always be seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery. Please ring first to help the
surgery run smoothly. (This will be quicker than a home visit.)
How Do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?
Our GPs now offer some telephone consultations for patients who do not need to visit the surgery or for conditions where examination is unnecessary. Telephone appointments are made through reception and patients will be given an approximate time for the GP to ring them back. Patients' telephone / mobile numbers will be taken and passed to the GP.
If you need to speak to a practice nurse, please ring the surgery and leave a message with reception.
How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
If you need a home visit, please telephone before 10.00am. This will help the doctors to plan their rounds and
avoid unnecessary delays. Visits are for those who are housebound or too ill to go out. Otherwise, please try to
come to one of the surgeries.
